Mead Botanical Garden is a 47 acre park located just north of Lake Sue. Mead offers ceremonies, walking trails, wildlife, a greenhouse, butterfly garden, and even summer camps. There is so much to do and the best part is, it’s free! It is open from 8am until dusk everyday. Depending on the time of year, the Camellia Garden might be in full bloom and is one of the most beautiful sights. Walk along one of the many paths throughout the garden, along Alice’s Pond, and even the native habitat they have made for burrowing residents like the tortoise. They also offer an annual “Young Naturalist Summer Camp” for ages 5-13 to learn about the ecology of the area. Ever wanted to get married in a garden? Mead Garden has a couple different options for the ceremony and reception. Choose between the Azalea Lodge, Historic Little Amphitheater, Legacy Garden, or Butterfly Garden. Phelps Park

Phelps Park is nestled in the middle of Winter Park in the one of the most highly desired neighborhoods. Phelps Park is a community park for all ages and desires with just under 6 acres of land. They have a large playground, swings, a giant wide open field, basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts. Grab some friends, your dogs, spikeball, and some chairs and call it an afternoon. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park

Located east of Park Ave, Martin Luther King, Jr. Park is a large 23 acre park with many amenities. Residing in the center of the park is the beautiful and serene Lake Mendsen equipped with a fountain and bridge. There is a large wooden playground for kids to enjoy, two basketball courts, 3 fields for soccer, football, and picnics, and a baseball/softball stadium. Kraft Azalea Garden

Kraft Azalea Garden is located on Lake Maitland, one of six lakes on the Winter Park Chain. This lakefront park is full of established oak and cypress canopies, which makes the perfect place to set up your hammock and enjoy the breeze off the lake. This is a great place to bring your kids and friends for a picnic, a game of spikeball, catch, soccer, or frisbee. You can reserve the Exedra for a cozy wedding of up to 20 of your closest friends and family. Walk along the dock to see stellar views of Lake Maitland.

Dinky Dock Park

Dinky Dock Park is the best place for a swim on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes. Located on Lake Virginia, directly next to Rollins College, this small park contains countless activities. Ward Park is a massive 66 acre park located in central Winter Park. It is home to the Winter Park High School Football team, the Wildcats! This park contains 25 picnic tables, 1 pavilion, 1 football/track stadium, 4 tennis courts, 10 baseball/softball fields, 5 soccer fields, pickleball courts, and a playground. It also contains walking and biking trails and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Ward Park has just about everything you could ever want from a sports complex.
